Jan. 4, 2018 – Far-western Region joined Nepal Police in the super league from Group A following their hard fought 1-0 win over fellow visitors Central Region in the ongoing 16th National Women's League being held at the ANFA Complex on Thursday.

In the match being played under the National Sports Council Championship, Kiran Chaudhary's seventh minute breakthrough proved to be the deciding goal of the match.

Chaudhary, who was fed a cross from the centre of the park, comfortable guided her attempt in the far post.

A spirited Central Region tried desperately to get back in the game, but were unable to breach the defense line that stood strong following the early lead.
